Andre Johnson, AKA Mr Montgomery, a Brixton based journalist, was hired by YouTube to write and narrate documentary Terms & Conditions: A UK Drill Story, released in February.

In collaboration with BAFTA-winning director Brian Hill, Johnson was able to show two sides of the music genre and demonstrate the reality of life for young black men in London. ‘I spoke to a lot of mums, youth workers and people within the community who want to stop knife crime. And we’re also seeing artists that are having their videos taken down [as a result], and that’s their livelihood, where they’re making money,’ Johnson explains, adding ‘Everyone needs to be heard and this documentary is about reaching the middle ground’. The feature length investigation has racked up nearly 500,000 YouTube views and has been described as a ‘must watch’.
